Where Do You Want To Live When You Grow Up?

This commercial says it better, almost better than I could.  So I’m going to start by sharing it with you.  Kids here, making the most powerful case for Dreaming Big:

When we start talking about apartments, why do we so often spend so much time talking about what we CAN’T HAVE?  Why can’t we talk about the penthouse?  Why can’t we talk about our favorite block?  Why can’t we shoot for everything, and then get as close to it as possible?

Let me put it another way.  When you’re thinking about what your next chapter is going to look like, why not lay out every single thing that would make you delighted?  Why NOT talk about “Where you want to live when you grow up?” When you have it all!  How much fun would it be to think about things in THIS way?  How are you going to spend Sunday morning?  Sipping coffee, staring out at trees?  At a townhouse backyard?  With kids running around?  In the park near your apartment?  On the roofdeck?

Do you want to have an open kitchen so you can always be part of the action?  FOMO is too strong for a closed kitchen!

Or do you hate clutter so much that you’d NEVER want an open kitchen?  You want to work in your own mess and noise, and pop out with the perfect meal, no one else ever seeing you hard at work?

Do you want to live in a duplex?  Would you never want a flight of stairs?  Do you have the fantasy of entertaining for thanksgiving?  Do you NEVER, EVER want to entertain?

What is your dream home?  How great will it feel to live there?  Why do kids dream out loud about wanting to be astronauts?  Presidents?  It is SO MUCH more FUN than limiting yourself to the basics of what you can afford.

And so I tell my clients to DREAM BIG.  Let’s talk about the feeling of having your dream home come to life!  And then do everything in our power to make it happen today.

dream big, baby. dream big.

Creating the picture of the ideal home in your mind, is what is going to help you articulate what you really want in words.

And today, that dream home is more possible than ever before.  Dream Homes at dream prices.  Don’t think small!  Think expansively.  See what is possible.  More is possible than I have experienced since I began selling real estate at the turn of the century!
