Running on Ice

Maybe you don’t remember the title track of Billy Joel’s 1986 “The Bridge.”

It was the follow-up to his Christie Brinkley-dedicated “Innocent Man,” and celebrates his new daughter (now 24).

The song was called “Running on Ice.”

I’m only thinking about it literally today, since I’m back out running for the first few times since running the November 21st Philadelphia Marathon- and it’s COLD, and icy.

I clocked a personal best 3:36:07, which was nearly eight minutes faster than my previous best.

Shocking, and exciting!

Many thanks to all of your for your support of my fundraising for the American Cancer Society.

We raised over $75,000 that day.

Not too shabby.

If you’re considering running a marathon, you could do much worse than choosing the Philly Marathon.

It’s a beautiful course, very flat, with plenty of room to run.

No slight to the ING New York Marathon, but with everything here, sometimes you get annoyed.

I’ll be out there freezing my way around Central Park Saturday or Sunday mornings through the winter.

I would be delighted to give you any running advice,

of course.

Or real estate advice along the way.
